This is going to be a busy week, y'all.  PLEASE do you best to be responsible and stay on top of your work.  Here's what you need to accomplish by Friday:

1) Complete your glossary assignment

2) Completion of ALL of your Rosetta Stone.  Lessons 21 - 30 are due Wednesday and the last three lessons on Friday.

3) Take your Vocab Quiz on Thursday

4) Get together with friends and figure out who will be in your final project group. As soon as you know who is going to be in your group, message me so that you can receive your group's personal url link to the project.  You should do this soon.

Good luck!!!

Please turn in Rosetta Stone Lessons 11 - 20 today.

Happy 5 de mayo!!!!

Do you know what 5 de mayo celebrates?  Do you remember learning about it last year?  What do you remember?   If you would like 5 points extra credit, message me a short explanation of what the day commemorates and I'll add the points in the grade book.

Here's what's on tap this week.  Good luck and get it done.

Wednesday: Turn in RS lessons 11 - 20

Friday: Submit your Speaking assignment

Today your writing assignment is officially due.

If you would like to know your progress report grade, total your points on the following assignments:

1) Rosetta Stone Lessons 1 - 10

2) Discussion Forum

3) Grammar Lesson

4) Reading Assignment

5) Writing Assignment

Then, when you have the total (which you can also see by clicking your gradebook link), divide that total by 180.

If you don't see a grade for your writing assignment, it means you are NOT done.

My goal is for everyone in the class to get a perfect score!  This is totally possible if you simply read the specific feedback I'm giving you and do your best to make those changes.

Good luck!

3) Grammar Lesson

This week you will continue Rosetta Stone and work diligently on your Writing Assignment.  I really want you to submit a draft by tomorrow so that we can work through it together.

And don't forget... NEVER USE AN INTERNET TRANSLATOR.

Rosetta Stone Lessons 1 - 10 due today. Please post.

Aaaaand... drum roll please.  Your requests came in and now you have it.  :)

(I'm still working on my act, but both of these songs were requested and my daughters happen to know them well!!)

WATCH!  They're cute.

I hope the videos are embedded.  I also created a link to them, so either should work.

The first video is Ruth's version of "Let it Go."  She's 4.

The second video is Georgia's version of "What Does the Fox Say."  She's 2.

Do you celebrate Easter?  If you do, how was it?  I'd love to hear.  We had a good one, but always miss our family in Texas.

The Discussion Forum is now closed.  I will not accept late posts.  This is pretty much the only assignment I don't accept late because it requires participation in the active discussion.

Keep trucking along in RS.  The first ten lessons must be finished and posted by Wednesday.

Just to clarify, the only "due dates" are the things that are highlighted on the calendar.  The assignments listed each day are simply suggestions on what you should work in class in order to keep a good pace with assignments.

Also, I am really enjoying the Discussion Forum this six weeks.  Here are tips to get the best grade possible:

* Pay attention to your grammar.  It looks sharpest when you capitalize the start of sentences, use commas when necessary, put your periods, etc.  Even if your idea is good, you may not get all the points of the grammar is glaringly incorrect.

* When you respond to a friend's post, make your comment as specific as possible.  I really like the statements that start with "I relate..." but make sure you complete the sentence with your own personal story so that you explain exactly how you relate to the statement.

What do you think of the new format for the calendar?  Reply here or send me a message.  I'd love to hear your feedback.
